PSSI Warehouse Operator in North Little Rock, Arkansas

A Warehouse operator will assist with loading and unloading trucks, working with other departments to ensure shipments are on time and help maintain cleanliness in the operating area. THE WORK YOU WILL DO:

  • Work with Quality Control (“QC”) department when loads of raw and/or packaging materials arrive to ensure the correct paperwork is given to the QC department when receiving product

  • Provide proper paperwork to appropriate truck driver when shipping

  • Ensure hazardous shipments are accompanied with proper placards from information obtained from Bills of Lading or other shipping documents

  • Load or unload trucks and bulk tanks properly and efficiently, and put away final products into warehouse

  • Fill out appropriate checklist when unloading/loading trailers

  • Make sure stock is being rotated (oldest ships 1st) to make sure stock is fresh and clean prior to shipping

  • Work with production and engineering to ensure shipments will be made on time

  • Maintain a monthly log for issued forklift, while ensuring forklifts are properly charged and water added to batteries

  • Execute emergency procedures in event of chemical incident, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the plant site

  • Troubleshoot software, instrumentation, solids-handling, blending, and hydraulic systems

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the operating area in keeping with food-contact standards

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 0-6 months’ related experience

  • Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Additional skills, qualities, or experience that would help you be successful in this role will include:

  • Read and comprehend documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

·Ability to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Outside or inside working environment, wherein potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (fire, chemicals, electrical sources, heights, dangerous people, etc.). Use of Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) is required and may consist of safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed boots, etc.
